Breda, 15 februari 2013, Couture Graphique, Jose Theunissen en
Mieke Gerritzen vroegen om een zaalvullende schildering in het MOTI om
het eerste deel van hun tentoonstelling over mode en grafisch ontwerp
samen te binden. Ik ontwierp een straat met etalages waarin objecten,
kledingstukken en accessoires van A.F. van der Vorst, Raf Simons,
Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Burberry's en Paul Smith een plaats kregen. Ik
vroeg Job Wouters erbij en samen bedachten we hoe we de schildering
zouden maken, op een perfecte zwarte Frescolithe ondergrond in
Smaragdgroen, Citroengeel, Kraplak, Titaanwit, Signaalrood en
Ultramarijnblauw met uitsluitend 20 cm brede spalters. |

and Mieke Gerritzen asked for a room-filling wallpainting to tie the
first part of their show about fashion and graphic design together. I
designed a street with shopwindows in which objects, clothes and
accesories by A.F. van der Vorst, Raf Simons, Chanel, Louis Vuitton,
Burberry's and Paul Smith where placed. I asked Job Wouters to join me
and together we thought of how we would would make the painting, on a
perfect black Frescolithe background in Viridiangreen, Lemonyellow, Red
madder, Titaniumwhite, Signalred and Ultramarineblue with only 8 inch
flat brushes. |
